Hear about proposed changes to the Privacy Act and how it will soon apply to small businesses (which were previously exempt).  Find out what the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, Australian Cyber Security Centre, the Australian Signals Directorate and eSafety Commissioner do.  Think about what happens if there is a privacy breach and how a privacy breach impacts your customers and your reputation. Ask any privacy questions you have.

Mossman Gorge Dreamtime Walk conducted by local Indigenous people
You may have bought a ticket at the time of conference registration.  Meet in foyer of Peppers at 8:30am.
Travel to Mossman Gorge about 1 hour from Palm Cove. 
Your Dreamtime Walk begins with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony to cleanse and ward off bad spirits. Next, your guide will lead you on a meandering stroll through stunning, lush rainforest, observing traditional huts or humpies along the way. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide demonstrates traditional plant use, identifies bush food sources, and provides an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment. Discover traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting. At the end of the tour, enjoy traditional bush tea and damper – the perfect treat after your journey. Approximately 1.5 hours – easy walk.  
​Return to Palm Cove in time for lunch.
​Conference program may be slightly changed if it cannot be delivered as anticipated. As usual, please check the CPD requirements for your profession to confirm you are eligible to claim them.​

Conference venue: Peppers Beach Club & Spa is a tropical paradise overlooking a stunning palm-fringed beach and only 20 minutes from Cairns Airport.
Getting there from Cairns Airport: Transfers are available from the Cairns Airport in a coach or a private car is also available. Taxis are readily available at the airport and are approximately $60 – $70 to Palm Cove. Call Cairns Taxis Ph (07) 4048 8333. Uber is also available in Cairns & Palm Cove.
Accommodation: Accommodation can be booked at Peppers Beach Club & Spa or at other venues in Palm Cove. Unfortunately, there are no discounts available for Peppers accommodation.
Can I bring my partner, friend or children? Of course...you can relax together between sessions! Just organise the type of Palm Cove accommodation that suits your group. Adults welcome to join the dinner - purchase the number of dinner tickets required.
Dress: Smart casual.
Spa treatments: Remember to book any spa treatments as soon as possible – it can be tricky to find availability at this time of year.

​We support you in the following ways if you need to make changes after booking one of our conferences.
  • Substitute delegates: welcome at any time - just let us know who will replace you at the conference.
  • If you have to cancel 30 days or more from start of conference: we are happy to transfer your booking to another available conference (with any difference in price paid by you or refunded by us).
  • If you have to cancel less than 30 days from start of conference: we maintain cancellation lists for all sold out conferences and where possible will do our best to share your place with those on the waitlist. If we are able to replace your booking then you will be entitled to a full refund minus $200 booking & administration fee. If we cannot share your place with someone on the waitlist then you will be entitled to a 50% refund of the conference fee. 
  • ​Insurance: Your ticket does not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that delegates take out their own general insurance that will reimburse their accommodation and travel costs in the event of cancellation by us or a delegate's inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. No responsibility is taken by us for any person not holding insurance.

Angela King
Senior Commercial Lawyer & Privacy Specialist

Senior commercial lawyer and privacy specialist with over 25 years' experience as a top-tier lawyer and senior in-house lawyer in a variety of industries including technology, financial services, higher education, health, medical research and not-for-profit.

Angela has most worked with some of Australia's most known organisations and brands.

​Since 2012, Angela has practiced through her Incorporated Legal Practice, MainStreet Business Services Pty Ltd, which is delivering Rejuven8 CPD.  
​This has meant Angela has parachuted into  many different types of legal teams and organisations to provide legal support as a General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel or consultant.​ ​She has led various training sessions over the years for businesses and teams including Medical One. 

Angela has been a wellness devotee for decades to balance out challenging work environments with a passion for mindfulness practices and treatments such as acupuncture and shiatsu. ​When not lawyering or training, Angela spends her time negotiating with her children and 3-year-old Cobber Dog (sometimes successfully).
Claire Nuske
​Head of Operations - Legal

A senior lawyer with almost 20 years' experience, Claire has worked in-house in large Legal, Legal Operations and Company Secretarial teams. She has experience in a variety of industries including financial services, banking and health. Currently, Claire is the Head of Operations - Legal for a large health care company and spends most of her time finding ways for her large team of lawyers to work smarter and not harder, with the help of AI.

When not lawyering, Claire enjoys good restaurants and spending time with her family (especially Alfie her Dachshund).​

Andrew Brown, Chartered Accountant
Senior Commercial Manager

A senior Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience as a finance professional in a variety of industries including energy, infrastructure and labour-hire.  Andrew's roles have included Senior Commercial Manager, Senior Finance Manager and Senior Finance Business Partner. Andrew has significant contracting experience and knows the process and market well. 

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys going to the footy at the MCG (go Dees!), watching the Grand Prix and spending quality time with his family.
